On January 12, 2026, a delegation led by Peter Wardell, Head of International Education for the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Wolverhampton, visited our university to discuss and negotiate details regarding a proposed Sino-foreign cooperative education program. Representatives from the School of Aerospace and Astronautics, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the International Cooperation and Exchange Center attended the meetings.

The delegation first visited the School of Aerospace and Astronautics, where both sides held productive discussions on the proposed undergraduate program in Aircraft Design and Engineering. Key topics included curriculum development, matching imported courses, and building a joint teaching team. The delegation then toured the school’s laboratories, with a focus on the UAV Lab, Aircraft Manufacturing Lab, and Cross-Media Lab, gaining insight into the university’s laboratory resources as well as student hands-on projects and competition activities.

In the afternoon, the delegation met with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. They discussed matters related to the placement of current students in the existing cooperative program and exchanged views on possibilities for expanding collaboration into other areas.

The delegation then visited the Gu’an Campus to meet with the 2025 incoming cohort of the Sino-foreign program in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Automation. During the meeting, they learned about students’ study-abroad aspirations and answered questions related to the cooperative program, bringing the visit to a successful conclusion.
