Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada Visited NCIAE and Attended Innovation & Start-up Themed Activities
Three staff including the Innovation & Start-up consultant Amy Neufeld from Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada visited NCIAE on the afternoon of 10.16. The three guests visited the “E-Innovation Space” to appreciate achievements of our students’ innovation and start-up work and NCIAE’s policies to encourage students to be engaged in such innovation and start-up work. Then they attended the “Great Lecture of Non-material Cultural Heritage” organized by the International Corporation and Communication center and the “E-Innovation Space”. They have expressed their recognition to the new approach to inherit traditional culture which inspired them and would like to apply the approach to Wilfrid Laurier University.
The guests made speeches to tutors and makers of the “E-Innovation Space” on topics of “Career Planning”, “Inter-cultural Awareness through Multiple Channels” and “Interview Preparation and Salary Negotiation”. They talked about how to make career plan, inter-cultural communication strategies on international platform and tips on interview and salary negotiation. A heated discussion between NCIAE students and the guests was followed by according to these topics.
